PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
  A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections, apply to this Section.
1.2 SUMMARY
  A. This Section includes the following:
    1. IV Tracks, IV Carriers and IV Bottle Holders.
  B. Related Sections include the following:
    1. Division 6 Section "Rough Carpentry."
    2. Division 9 Section "Gypsum Board Assemblies, Acoustical Panel Ceilings, Acoustical Tile Ceilings."
1.3 SUBMITTALS
  A. Product Data: Submit copies of manufacturer's detailed technical data for materials, fabrication and installation of IV tracks, IV carriers and IV bottle holders specified herein. Include catalog cuts of fittings, anchors, fastenings and accessories.
  B. Shop Drawings: Show layout and types of bottle holders, number of carriers, and conditions requiring accessories.
  C. Coordination Drawings: Reflected ceiling plans drawn to scale and coordinating penetrations and ceiling-mounted items. Show the following:
    1. Ceiling suspension assembly members.
  D. Samples for Verification:
    1. IV Track: Not less than 4 inches long.
    2. IV Carrier: Full-size unit.
  E. Maintenance Data: For tracks and carriers to include in maintenance manuals specified in Division 1.
1.4 PROJECT CONDITIONS
  A. Environmental Limitations: Do not install I.V. Track until spaces are enclosed and weatherproof, wet work in spaces is complete and dry, work above ceilings is complete, and ambient temperature and humidity conditions are maintained at the levels indicated for Project when occupied for its intended use.
  B. Field Measurements: Where I.V. Track is indicated to fit to other construction, verify dimensions of other construction by field measurements before fabrication and indicate measurements on Shop Drawings. Coordinate fabrication schedule with construction progress to avoid delaying the Work.
 
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURERS
  A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by the following:

2.2 IV SUPPORT SYSTEMS
  A. Extruded-Aluminum IV Track No. 1100: Not less than 1-7/16 inches wide by 15/16 inch high aluminum track.
    1. Curved Track: Factory fabricated 12-inch radius bends.
    2. Finish: Satin anodized or White baked enamel.
  B. IV Carriers NC-100 (non-conductive): Four nylon rollers and nylon axles with machined aluminum carriage and stainless steel hanger loop.
  C. IV Carriers C-100 (conductive): Three nylon rollers, one aluminum roller and nylon axles with machined aluminum carriage and stainless-steel hanger loop.
  D. Stationary IV Hangers Model 5000 with stainless-steel shaft; with 5 non-folding ¼ -inch (6mm) stainless steel arms with loops, a stainless-steel bottom loop, and a stainless-steel top loop to attach to carrier.
  E. Telescoping IV Hangers Model 8000 with a ¾-inch stainless-steel main shaft and a 3/8 inch stainless-steel inner shaft. Vertically adjustable 10 and 16 inches; with 8 non-folding stainless-steel arms with loops and a stainless-steel top loop to attach to carrier.
    1. Adjustment Control: Push button.
  F. Telescoping IV Hangers Model 4000 with a ¾ -inch stainless-steel main shaft and a 3/8 inch stainless-steel inner shaft. Vertically adjustable 10 and 16 inches; with 4 non-folding stainless-steel arms at bottom with loops and a stainless-steel top loop to attach to carrier.
    1. Adjustment Control: Push button.
  G. Telescoping IV Hangers Model 4000A with a ¾ -inch stainless-steel main shaft and a 3/8 inch stainless-steel inner shaft. Vertically adjustable 10 and 16 inches; with 4 non-folding stainless-steel arms at bottom with loops at top and a stainless-steel top loop to attach to carrier.
  1. Adjustment Control: Push button.
  H. Telescoping IV Hangers Model 4000B with a ¾ -inch stainless-steel main shaft and a 3/8 inch stainless-steel inner shaft. Vertically adjustable 10 and 16 inches; with 4 non-folding stainless-steel arms at bottom with loops at top and bottom and a stainless-steel top loop to attach to carrier.
    1. Adjustment Control: Push button.
 
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
  A. General: Install tracks level and plumb, according to manufacturer's written instructions. Provide track fabricated from one continuous length up to 18 feet.
    1. IV Track Mounting: Surface.
  B. Surface Track Mounting Select: Fasten surface-mounted tracks at intervals of not less than 24 inches. Fasten support at each splice and tangent point of each corner. Center fasteners in track to ensure unencumbered carrier operation. Attach track to ceiling as follows:
    1. Mechanically fasten directly to bottom of concrete deck with anchor screws.
    2. Mechanically fasten directly to finished ceiling with toggle bolts.
    3. Mechanically fasten to suspended ceiling grid with screws.
  C. Track Accessories: Install end caps, connectors, and other accessories as required for a secure and operational installation.
  D. IV Hangers: Unless otherwise indicated, install one IV Carrier on each IV Track and hang one IV Bottle Holder.
3.2 DEMONSTRATION
  A. Train Owner's maintenance personnel to adjust, operate, and maintain safety loading units.
    1. Train Owner's maintenance personnel on procedures and schedules for changing curtains and maintaining cubicles.
